Procedure for using the oil immersion objectives.
Rotate the nosepiece low power 10x is the light path.
Place one drop of immersion oil on the lighted area of the specimen. Rotate the nosepiece 100x oil immersion objectives. Be cautious the 45x objective should not get in the contact with oil.
Since all objectives are parafocal the specimen shall be visible when changed to 100x. Use fine focus knob to get the best immage.
After finish session oil immersion objective, wipe off all traces of oil from the objective with a lens tissues soft cloth moist with lens cleaning solution.
Keep the slide clean of oil to work.
After use the microscope cover with discover and keep moisture free area.
